Strategic Decision Making


Description

Making correct strategic decisions is fundamental to business success.  Participants in the class, Strategic Decision Making, will learn how a well-defined and administered business strategy can help managers make the right choices.  This class focuses on how companies can increase shareholder value by basing decisions on a carefully crafted and widely communicated business strategy.  Participants will examine the economics of the oil and gas value chain, strategies for upstream operations and industry performance measures.  Class exercises will examine strategic decisions made by oil and gas companies, critical issues facing the industry and the impact of investment decisions on business plans.
