members account for more than 90% of the natural gas delivered in the United States. AGA
acts as a clearinghouse for gas energy information, as a catalyst in technical and energy
policy matters, and as a powerful voice for its members. |

The American Petroleum Institute (API) is the U. S. petroleum industry's primary trade
association. Its membership consists of a broad cross section of petroleum and allied
industries in exploration, production, transportation, refining and marketing. API
provides public policy development, advocacy, research and technical services to enhance
the ability of the petroleum industry to fulfill its mission of meeting the nation's
energy needs; enhancing the environmental, health, and safety performance of the petroleum
industry; conducting research to advance petroleum technology; advocating government
decision-making; and promoting public understanding of the industry's value to society. |

America - The Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) is dedicated to
ensuring a strong, viable domestic oil and natural gas industry. The national association
represents 8,000 independent crude oil and natural gas explorer/producers in the United
States. |

Contractors - Since 1940, the International Association of Drilling Contractors
(IADC) has exclusively represented the worldwide oil and gas drilling industry. |

National Association of
Royalty Owners - The National Association of Royalty Owners, Inc., (NARO) is a non-profit
trade association dedicated to serving the needs of the nation's over 4 million owners of
sub-surface oil and gas rights. NARO is the only national association for royalty owners
and provides its over 5,000 members in 47 states with valuable and timely information
necessary to the profitable management of this vital mineral asset. NARO is also the Voice
That Counts for mineral and royalty owners in the nation's capital and in state houses in
most of the producing states. |

National Petrochemical &
Refiners Association - The National Petrochemical & Refiners Association
(NPRA) promotes the general welfare of its members by gathering and disseminating
historical and scientific information and statistics pertaining to the petroleum refining
and petrochemical manufacturing industries. The association also promotes environmental
improvement and provide an effective channel of communication between its members and
other associations, government, and the public. |

National Petroleum Council

The National Petroleum Council (NPC), a federally chartered and privately funded advisory
committee, was established by the Secretary of the Interior in 1946 at the request of
President Harry S. Truman. In 1977, the U.S. Department of Energy was established and the
NPC's functions were transferred to the new Department. The purpose of the NPC is solely
to advise, inform, and make recommendations to the Secretary of Energy with respect to any
matter relating to oil and natural gas or to the oil and gas industries submitted to it or
approved by the Secretary. The NPC does not concern itself with trade practices, nor does
it engage in any of the usual trade association activities. |

Natural Gas Supply Association
- The Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) represents integrated and independent
companies that produce and market domestic natural gas. Established in 1965, NGSA
encourages expanded use of natural gas and a regulatory climate that fosters competitive
markets. |

Petroleum Marketers Association of
America - The Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA) is a federation of
41 state and regional trade associations representing approximately 10,000 independent
petroleum marketers nationwide. The bulk of the marketers are small, family businesses
serving the petroleum needs of their local community. These marketers sell approximately
half of the gasoline, 60% of the diesel fuel and 80% of the home heating oil consumed in
America. |

Petroleum Technology Transfer Council
- The Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC) was formed in 1994 by the U.S.
exploration and production industry. The PTTC mission is to identify and transfer
technology for the benefit of the domestic oil and natural gas industry. |

Southern Gas Association
- The Southern Gas Association links people, ideas and information in providing services
and support activities which improve individual and corporate performance in the
transmission, distribution, and marketing of natural gas service to all customers served
by member companies. |

Southwestern Legal Foundation
- The Southwestern Legal Foundation is the only autonomous continuing legal education
organization to sponsor an Inn of Court. For more than three decades, the Foundation has
been the beneficiary of a distinguished group of supporters known as Research Fellows. |

Royalty Owners - The Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners (TIPRO) is
committed to promoting the interests and general welfare of independent producers and
royalty owners in Texas. The association concentrates its efforts in government relations,
public communications and business services. TIPRO strives to provide members with
outstanding legislative and public representation, access to valuable business
information, and excellent networking opportunities. |
